POTTERS TOUCH DEVOTIONAL.

MONDAY,25TH DECEMBER 2017.

TODAY’S DEVOTION. CHRISTMAS IS ABOUT PRAISES!

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE. "Where is He Who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the east at its rising and have come to worship Him." (Matthew 2:2 AMP).

The birth of the Lord Jesus Christ is a unique event in world history! Apart from His earthly parents, the first set of people who knew about His birth were not mere men but 'wise men'. Wisdom made them prophetic in their approach to Christmas. The first wisdom they received was seeing 'the star'. You cannot see the star when you look down i.e their eyes were lifted up. The difference between wisdom and foolishness is focus. They looked in the right direction and became wise.

In order to maximise Christmas you must look at the star ahead of you, not the scar behind you. Your praise and worship will be determined by your seeing the star in the sky. That star that welcomed Jesus' birth has not left. It is still in the sky. The Bible says,
"Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed-that exhilarating finish in and with God-he could put up with anything along the way: cross, shame, whatever. And now he's there, in the place of honor, right alongside God." (Hebrews 12:2 MSG)

What the wise men saw was the 'rising star' but what we have now is the day star. The more you look at Jesus, the day star in you will begin to shine brighter and brighter. Whatever you focus on becomes your strongest point of worship. Indeed Jesus is the reason for the season. As you worship and praise Him He will make you a shining star in your generation.

The best thing to do at Christmas is worship and praise Him with all your heart, in spirit and in truth. Like the wise men, give Him gifts of worship! "They entered the house and saw the child in the arms of Mary, his mother. Overcome, they kneeled and worshiped him. Then they opened their luggage and presented gifts: gold, frankincense, myrrh." (Matthew 2:11 MSG).

Go to the house of God today and kneel to the King in worship. Present yourself as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto Him which is your reasonable worship. In addition, open you heart and present gifts to the Lord Jesus just like the wise men. Make your Christmas offering special to God. Offer a sacrifice of praise that will cost you something. Giving bountifully is a form of worship and praise instrument that is acceptable to God, a sweet smelling fragrance to Him. The wise men gave Him their best even when their journey was impromptu.

At Christmas do not appear before the Lord empty handed for the Lord loves a cheerful giver. Furthermore, prepare to give to your loved ones. Send gifts to your acquaintances, friends, family members, bosses, colleagues and neighbours. It is more blessed to give than to receive!

TODAY'S RESPONSE
Appreciate your staff, employers, pastors, parents, customers and as many as you can at Christmas. It is the wise thing to done.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU WITH LOTS OF LOVE!

21ST MARCH,2018. TODAYS DEVOTION.MERCY IN CONFLICTS. TODAY’S SCRIPTURE."I beg you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to stop arguing among yourselves. Let there be real harmony so that there won’t be splits in the church. I plead with you to be of one mind, united in thought and purpose." (1 Corinthians 1:10 LB) Stop trying to win arguments. Instead, make it your goal to love those who disagree with you. Go for the love, not the win. Jesus tells us love will always win; he guaranteed that when he walked out of the tomb. When you find yourself in an argument with other believers, use these biblical guidelines for getting along: Let mercy guide your response (Proverbs 3:3–6). In a conflict, most of us say we only want what’s fair, but God’s approach isn’t about being fair. It’s about grace and mercy (Romans 5:8). Let God’s Mercy determine the truth (2 Corinthians 13:8). The truth is not determined by your thoughts or feelings (1 John ...

SUNDAY, 17TH  SEPTEMBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION.RAIN OF IDEAS FOR PROSPERITY PART 2. TODAY'S SCRIPTURE. "Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:" (Joel 2:23, 28 KJV). The Bible records that Abraham became very rich in cattle, silver and gold. But how did he become outstanding and outshine other bussinessmen? Through the rain of divine ideas by the Holy Ghost which came in response to his giving. Abraham dug wells for his cattle instead of them going about. By divine inspiration he knew what to do to get fatter and fresher cattle and sheep. Isaac also got the secret of irrigation by the re...

SUNDAY, 19TH NOVEMBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION.OVERFLOW IN GREATNESS.

SUNDAY, 19TH NOVEMBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION.OVERFLOW IN GREATNESS. TODAY'S SCRIPTURE. The man got richer and richer by the day until he was very wealthy. (Genesis 26:13.MSG) The Message Bible translation of our opening scripture uses the phrase "very wealthy"! That means greatness is synonymous with overflowing wealth. As the seed of Abraham, you can never be small or be a failure in life. Poverty and sickness are not supposed to be a part of your life. Isaac experienced an overflow of greatness and walked in super abundant overflow.  He experienced blessings in a period of severe famine  because he was Abraham's seed."Then Isaac sowed seed in that land and received in the same year a hundred times as much as he had planted, and the Lord favored him with blessings. And the man became great and gained more and more until he became very wealthy and distinguished;" (Genesis 26:12, 13 AMP). It will work for you just like it worked for your Father Abrah...
