POTTERS TOUCH DEVOTIONAL

SATURDAY, 23RD DECEMBER 2017.

TODAY'S  DEVOTION. THE GARMENT OF PRAISE.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:"To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified". (Isaiah 61:3 KJV)

Without the glorious 'garment of praise' you are exposed to the vices of life such as sickness,set-back,delay, disappointment, attacks, poverty, etc. God expects you to turn your mourning to dancing through the instrument of praise in Zion. With the Spirit of praise you are not permitted to mourn in Zion. When they say there is a casting down you shall say there is a lifting up. Whatever makes you mourn can be transformed to praise with the eyes of faith. One of my mentors said,
"irrespective of whatever you lost, praise Him because you have not lost all."

Make a habit of turning your tears of pain to tears of joy. Praise turns your ashes to beauty no matter how bad they seem! Ash is the left over from a fire out break, they are memories of yesterday's pains and disappointments. Ashes are scars of terrible moments of our past that bring tears to our eyes when we remember them. Dark situations can be transformed to beauty with high praises. Nothing erases old memories faster than the restoration that comes from praising God. When by thanksgiving at the tomb of Lazarus the dead came back to life the ashes became beautiful. As you praise God this month He will give you beauty for ashes.

Praise brings the oil of joy for mourning. Joy is a product of meditation on the word of God."Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts". (Jeremiah 15:16 KJV)

When you read, study and meditate on the word of God it means you are "eating" Gods word. As you begin to allow the ministry of the word of God proceed out of your mouth, it will bring the kind of anointing you need. When this is properly understood it will become your garment of praise. With high praise, you are covered with the glory of the Lord everyday.

Today's Prayer.
Lord, henceforth I vow to wear the garment of praise instead of the spirit of heaviness. Praise the Lord!

SUNDAY, 17TH  SEPTEMBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION.RAIN OF IDEAS FOR PROSPERITY PART 2. TODAY'S SCRIPTURE. "Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:" (Joel 2:23, 28 KJV). The Bible records that Abraham became very rich in cattle, silver and gold. But how did he become outstanding and outshine other bussinessmen? Through the rain of divine ideas by the Holy Ghost which came in response to his giving. Abraham dug wells for his cattle instead of them going about. By divine inspiration he knew what to do to get fatter and fresher cattle and sheep. Isaac also got the secret of irrigation by the re...

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL FRIDAY 23RD MARCH,2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: GOD’S MERCY AT WORK IN YOU.

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL FRIDAY 23RD MARCH,2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: GOD’S MERCY AT WORK IN YOU. TODAY’S SCRIPTURE. “For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.”  (Philippians 2:13 NLT) No matter what you’re going to face in this life, you’re not going to face it alone. God’s mercy is with you, he is in you, and he is for you. “God’s Mercy is working in you.” The word “working” in Greek is the word energos, from which we get the word “energy.” God’s mercy is the energy driver in your life. You’re not just going on willpower. You’re not just going on your own power. Mercy of God says he will give you the power you need, no matter what you’re facing.  Not only is he in you, he is with you. The Bible says, “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. On that day you will realize that I ...

POTTERS TOUCH DEVOTIONAL. SATURDAY, 16TH DECEMBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION. WRONG PRAISES!

POTTERS TOUCH DEVOTIONAL. SATURDAY, 16TH DECEMBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION. WRONG PRAISES! TODAY'S SCRIPTURE ."The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican." (Luke 18:11 KJV). There are good ways to praise God and also wrong ways of doing it. Indeed high praises open doors before God but the man in the verse above praised God and his door was closed. Why? Because he did it in a wrong way. Never praise God in an attempt to intimidate and condemn others. Do not ever engage in praise and thanksgiving to show you are better than people around you. High praises ought to be with a deep sense of humility to God i.e it is by grace and not by your own effort. When your praises makes people get offended at God as if God is partial it is wrong. This is common with testimonies during thanksgiving, some believers make it look as if others are not serving God enough. ...
