TODAY'S DEVOTION. YOU NEED SKILLS TO PROSPER PART 1

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE.“Rendering service readily with goodwill, as to the Lord and not to men, Knowing that for whatever good anyone does, he will receive his reward from the Lord, whether he is slave or free.”(Ephesians‬ ‭6:7-8‬ ‭AMPC‬‬)

Skill means ability, technical know how or expertise in a field. Ecclesiastes 9:11 says "The race is not for the swift, nor the battle to the strong neither bread to the wise nor riches to men of understanding nor favour to men of skill."

Every profession requires skill if not you cannot excel in life. If you are not skillful, you cannot go far in life. This is applicable in every profession. If you do not exhibit skill in life you cannot stand before kings.

Develop multiple skills. One easy way to develop multiple skills is to give  heed to this scripture; ‘whatsoever your hand finds to do, do it with all thy might’. David tended sheep, played the harp skillfully and was a man of war. His first job was to tend sheep, but he also played the harp to calm the flock and keep himself occupied.

In addition,he learnt to war protecting his herd from dangerous animals. He had to use a sling and he used it well. Those skills brought him to the palace. You cannot remain relevant just because you have a degree! What else can you do? What problems can you solve? How creative are you?

TODAY'S WISDOM
Life is dynamic. If you keep doing things the same way, you will soon be irrelevant. Those born of the Spirit are dynamic.

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL TUESDAY 10TH APRIL, 2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: BLOOD OF RESTORATION. PT 2.

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL TUESDAY 10TH APRIL, 2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: BLOOD OF RESTORATION. PT 2. TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: "The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?" (1 Corinthians 10:16 KJV). Every communion table is a kind of renewing the covenant of restoration. Nothing can be more exciting to know that like a meal I can eat and drink blessing of restoration. Look at how Jesus put it Himself," Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him." (John 6:53-56 KJV).  So except you keep eating the body and drink...

POTTERS TOUCH DEVOTIONAL. SATURDAY, 21ST OCTOBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION.TO LIVE A QUALITY LIFE, STOP WORRYING PART 2. TODAY'S SCRIPTURE. "Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” (1 Peter 5:7 NLT, second edition) We established in yesterday's devotion that it takes more than willpower to stop worrying and that it takes four things to stop worrying. Firstly , get to know God first and secondly put God first in every area of your life.We will be looking at the other two today. 3.Live one day at a time. The Bible says, “So don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will have its own worries. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34 NCV). If you’re worrying about tomorrow, you can’t enjoy today. You will miss today’s blessings. It’s okay to plan for tomorrow, but you have to live for today. When you’re always worried about tomorrow, the future gets overwhelming. But God will give you the grace...

MONDAY, 11TH SEPTEMBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION.CRITICISM AND PROSPERITY.

MONDAY, 11TH SEPTEMBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION.CRITICISM AND PROSPERITY. TODAY'S SCRIPTURE."Start with God. The first step in learning is bowing down to God; only fools thumb their noses at such wisdom and learning” (Proverbs 1:7 MSG). Have you noticed that once you establish a goal in your life, you start hearing people say, “Who do you think you are, you think you have money?” or “It can’t be done just like that, how can one just prosper in these hard times?” or “Forget about it, they are all thieves! Etc The antidote to the voices of doubt is listening to the voice of God. Just imagine all the critics that were in Noah’s life. “That guy Noah thinks God speaks to him, but he’s just messing up the master plan of our city by building that ark in his front yard.” The Bible tells us that Noah listened to God. What did he hear? He heard God’s warning that the world was going to be destroyed. He belie...
