TODAY'S DEVOTION. DO NOT TURN YOUR BLESSINGS TO A CURSE!

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE." If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart. (Malachi 2:2 KJV)

When you refuse to give God glory by praising Him, blessings become curses. When you praise God,He increases your blessings. Giving glory to His name takes shame away from you and your loved ones. If you want the blessing upon your life preserved, you must continually give praise to God on a daily basis. 

The above scripture talks about giving glory to God in everything you do. Another scripture says,
"Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God." (Psalm 50:23 KJV). 

Giving glory to God is the covenant device for preserving the blessing you receive from Him. From the opening scripture,our attention is drawn to the fact that it is possible to loose your divine inheritance when you fail to give Him glory. God expects you to give Him glory at all times in order for Him to keep blessing you. 

When you do not praise or give Him the glory you will compel Him to curse your blessings or withdraw them. When you do not acknowledge or glorify Him for His hand upon your life, you are calling for a contest with your maker which you cannot handle. If you fail to give Him glory,He will send devourers to devour the blessings. Stop giving the devil the opportunity to mock you. Each time you give God praise, you have committed Him to preserve that blessing and bless you more. You must never take glory for any success you have because without God you are nothing. If God withdraws His hand of blessings and favour, you are finished! 

When you live a praise filled life, you will enjoy being blessed abundantly. God designed praise for your supernatural blessing. In order to enjoy this realm of blessings, you must go beyond lip-service praises and bless Him genuinely from your heart by giving Him glory at all times. 

Failure to give God glory can convert blessing to curses. In the same way, praises can convert curses to blessings. Every curse is at the mercy of praises, no curse can stand the presence of God. The more you praise Him, the more He will bless you.

Today's Prayer.
Father I am sorry for not giving you glory as I ought to and promise that henceforth I will praise you in all things. Praise the Lord!

POTTERS TOUCH DEVOTIONAL. SATURDAY, 16TH DECEMBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION. WRONG PRAISES! TODAY'S SCRIPTURE ."The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican." (Luke 18:11 KJV). There are good ways to praise God and also wrong ways of doing it. Indeed high praises open doors before God but the man in the verse above praised God and his door was closed. Why? Because he did it in a wrong way. Never praise God in an attempt to intimidate and condemn others. Do not ever engage in praise and thanksgiving to show you are better than people around you. High praises ought to be with a deep sense of humility to God i.e it is by grace and not by your own effort. When your praises makes people get offended at God as if God is partial it is wrong.
