POTTERS TOUCH DEVOTIONAL.
THURSDAY, 21ST DECEMBER 2017.
TODAYS DEVOTION. PRAISE HIM FOR HIS GOODNESS!
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE. "Hallelujah! Thank God! Pray to him by name! Tell everyone you meet what he has done!”(Psalm 105:1 AMP).
As believers, we are called to reach out to the world with the goodness of the resurrected Lord. Jesus said we are the light of the world. Therefore, we represent Jesus anywhere we are."Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. (Matthew 5:14 MSG)
Nothing preaches the gospel like a changed life. The gospel is simply telling the world what the Lord has done. Praises do not only involve giving glory to God but sharing the glory of God with fellow men. Praises should not end with church services but should be taken to the streets where men may see His good works and become saved. Telling the world about the good things the Lord has done for you is a kind of praise.
A man was delivered from the oppression of the devil in the Bible by Jesus Christ and He came to thank and follow Him."As Jesus was getting into the boat, the demon-delivered man begged to go along, but he wouldn’t let him. Jesus said, “Go home to your own people. Tell them your story-what the Master did, how he had mercy on you. The man went back and began to preach in the Ten Towns area about what Jesus had done for him. He was the talk of the town”. (Mark 5:18-20 MSG)
Hallelujah! What a thanksgiving praise party this man had! This is one of the best forms of ‘giving’ that goes with your thanks.
Go out and begin to thank God in praise by letting people know what He has done for you. How He saved, healed, delivered, provided, lifted and helped you in one way or the other. Every time you talk to someone about His goodness you are saying "thank you". Your evangelism amounts to talking about His love for mankind.
TODAY'S RESPONSE
In less than two weeks, we will be entering into another year. Give Him praise for His goodness.
