DAY 18 OF OUR FASTING PROGRAM.

THURSDAY, 25TH JANUARY 2018.

TODAY’S DEVOTION. DIVINE EMPOWERMENT FOR THE CHURCH( POTTERS HOUSE CHURCH).

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16:18-19 KJV)

The last day church is not a weak and beggarly church but a glorious church(1 Peter 2:9). The last day church is an army that has Jesus Christ as its Commander in Chief. (Joel 2:1–3).

The church is a pathfinder and a trailblazer for the world around her. The church dictates the happenings in and around the world, not the other way round. The church is a solution centre for the ailing world, therefore just like the day of pentecost we must walk in unity. Unity invokes the power of God(Acts 2:1–4).

A church that loses focus and forgets her source (Jesus Christ) will amount to nothing(John15:5).

TODAY’S PRAYERS.

1. Father in the name of Jesus, make every member of our church an aggressive soul winner. Let fresh zeal for personal evangelism come upon all our members this year (Acts 8:4; 11:21).

2. Father, give unto us wisdom for effective follow-up of new converts and first timers in all our branches worldwide (Acts 16:4-5).

3. Father, let there be greater zeal for divine empowerment of new converts and first timers in all our churches. (Acts 2:46-47).

4. Lord Jesus, release corporate anointing upon us in all of our services. (Acts 2:1–3)

5. Lord Jesus baptise us with fresh fire as a church in 2018.

"Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” (1 Peter 5:7 NLT, second edition) We established in yesterday's devotion that it takes more than willpower to stop worrying and that it takes four things to stop worrying. Firstly , get to know God first and secondly put God first in every area of your life.We will be looking at the other two today. 3.Live one day at a time. The Bible says, “So don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will have its own worries. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34 NCV).
