TODAY'S DEVOTION PRAYER AND FASTING.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE.But this kind of demon does not go out except by prayer and fasting.]” . (MATTHEW 17:21 AMP)
The Bible has a great deal to say about both fasting and praying, including commands to fast and pray. The Bible also gives us examples of people who fasted and prayed, using different types of fasts for different reasons, all of which yielded very positive results.
Jesus fasted and prayed. Jesus' disciples fasted and prayed after the Resurrection. Many of the Old Testament heroes and heroines of faith fasted and prayed. The followers of John the Baptist fasted and prayed. Many people in the early church fasted and prayed. Based on what the Scriptures have taught us directly and by the examples of the saints , it is surely something we are to do.
This year will be different and great for you but everything in the kingdom requires preparation for empowerment.Everyone God empowered in the Bible at one time or the other fasted. In order to experience miracles as of old, let’s fast like the old times.
TODAY'S PRAYER
Help me Lord to participate fully and reap the dividends of our forthcoming fasting and prayer in Jesus Name. Amen.
