POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL

WEDNESDAY 28TH MARCH, 2018.

TODAY’S DEVOTION: EASTER SHOWS US GOD'S MERCY.

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE "God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners” (Romans 5:8 NLT).

Everything that Jesus did for you He did out of love and mercy .The Bible says that God made you to love you. The only reason you’re alive is because you were made to be loved by God. If God didn’t want you alive, your heart would stop instantly; you wouldn’t even be breathing right now. God made you and wants you alive so He can love you and so you can love Him back.

God didn’t just say He loved you, He showed it. The Bible says, “God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners” (Romans 5:8 NLT). It says while we were still sinners. Before I even knew God, before I even knew I needed God in my life, Jesus died for me this is a great Mercy.

There’s a myth that says I’ve got to clean up my act before I can come to God. “I’ve got to get it all together. There are a few things I’ve got to get right in my life first, and then I’ll come to God.” No! You come to God with your problems—the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Why do we do this? It’s like when we brush our teeth before we go to the dentist to have a teeth cleaning; or when we wash the dishes before we put them in the dishwasher; or when we pick up the house before the maid gets there! Why do we do this? God says, “No, no! You don’t have to clean up your act. Just bring it all to Me. Bring Me all your problems. I have the answer. I have all the answers.” You don’t wait. Jesus says, “Come as you are.”

The Bible says, “He will send down help from heaven to save me because of His love” (Psalm 57:3 LB). That’s what Jesus did on Easter.  He sent down Himself from heaven to save us because of His love.  So you bring your problems to God because He has the answer.

If you don’t act on this news then the death of Jesus Christ and His resurrection is wasted for you personally. It makes no difference in your life. You may recognize the gift, but you still have to receive it.

The Bible says, “You will be saved, if you honestly say, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and if you believe with all your heart that God raised Him from death.  God will accept you and save you, if you truly believe this and tell it to others” (Romans 10:9-10 CEV).

TODAY'S WISDOM
God is not asking you to make a promise you cannot keep. God is asking you to believe a promise that only He can keep.

21ST MARCH,2018. TODAYS DEVOTION.MERCY IN CONFLICTS. TODAY’S SCRIPTURE."I beg you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to stop arguing among yourselves. Let there be real harmony so that there won’t be splits in the church. I plead with you to be of one mind, united in thought and purpose." (1 Corinthians 1:10 LB) Stop trying to win arguments. Instead, make it your goal to love those who disagree with you. Go for the love, not the win. Jesus tells us love will always win; he guaranteed that when he walked out of the tomb. When you find yourself in an argument with other believers, use these biblical guidelines for getting along: Let mercy guide your response (Proverbs 3:3–6). In a conflict, most of us say we only want what’s fair, but God’s approach isn’t about being fair. It’s about grace and mercy (Romans 5:8). Let God’s Mercy determine the truth (2 Corinthians 13:8). The truth is not determined by your thoughts or feelings (1 John ...

POTTERS TOUCH DEVOTIONAL. TUESDAY, 14TH NOVEMBER 2017. TODAY’S DEVOTION. OVERFLOW OF IDEAS

POTTERS TOUCH DEVOTIONAL. TUESDAY, 14TH NOVEMBER 2017. TODAY’S DEVOTION. OVERFLOW OF IDEAS TODAY'S SCRIPTURE.“The life-giving Spirit of God will hover over him, the Spirit that brings wisdom and understanding, The Spirit that gives direction and builds strength, the Spirit that instills knowledge and Fear-of-God”. (Isaiah 11:2 MSG) One of the ways through which you harvest your seeds sown for overflow is through the rain of divine ideas. In Genesis 7:11-12, we understand that when the windows of heaven first opened, what poured down from heaven was rain. What is this rain? What does it symbolise, what does it represent? It is not literal rain, neither is it destructive, it is the rain of refreshing; it is the rain of the Spirit of God. The anointing of the Holy Spirit! It is the rain that produces unimaginable results for overflow. “Be glad then, ye children of Zion and rejoice in the Lord your God: for He hath given you the former rain moderately, and he wi...

SUNDAY, 17TH  SEPTEMBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION.RAIN OF IDEAS FOR PROSPERITY PART 2. TODAY'S SCRIPTURE. "Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:" (Joel 2:23, 28 KJV). The Bible records that Abraham became very rich in cattle, silver and gold. But how did he become outstanding and outshine other bussinessmen? Through the rain of divine ideas by the Holy Ghost which came in response to his giving. Abraham dug wells for his cattle instead of them going about. By divine inspiration he knew what to do to get fatter and fresher cattle and sheep. Isaac also got the secret of irrigation by the re...
