SATURDAY, 5TH AUGUST 2017.

TODAY'S DEVOTION.GENTLE ATTITUDE.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE. “Show a gentle attitude toward everyone. The Lord is coming soon.” ‭‭(Philippians‬ ‭4:5‬ ‭GNT‬)

We have established that attitude is everything. Where you are today is where your attitude brought you and ten years from today where you will be can only be determined by your attitude and choices. Zig Ziglar said ‬"Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude". Therefore, how far you go is  not a function of your enemies but your attitude.

The first  attitude you need to be happy and successful  in life is an attitude of gentleness .Being gentle means being calm and kind, doing things in a quiet and careful way by the Holy Spirit. Gentleness is a virtue that shows how mature you are in your disposition and decisions. Gentleness is not weakness, it is strength under control. It allows us to be tender. Think of how big, vast and powerful God is, who is bigger than the universe, who transcends space and time way beyond our comprehension. Yet, He treats us with utmost tenderness and care.

Gentleness allows us to be caring and helps us nurture others. It helps us stay calm and not escalate problems or push people’s buttons! It helps us build others up, by allowing them grow. It places others first, it is being selfless. When you are full of pride, you cannot be gentle with others; you cannot be a friend, because all you will do is hurt and push them away.

We must look up to Jesus who modelled ultimate gentleness and care. As God, He did not have to be gentle yet He took time to nurture others even when they made mistakes and failed. He helped them up and put them back together; He will do the same with you too. "He is able to exercise gentleness and forbearance toward the ignorant and erring, since he himself also is liable to moral weakness and physical infirmity." (Hebrews 5:2 AMP)

Today's Question
How can we be gentle with those who are violent, aggressive  or seemingly difficult?

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL TUESDAY 10TH APRIL, 2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: BLOOD OF RESTORATION. PT 2.

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL TUESDAY 10TH APRIL, 2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: BLOOD OF RESTORATION. PT 2. TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: "The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?" (1 Corinthians 10:16 KJV). Every communion table is a kind of renewing the covenant of restoration. Nothing can be more exciting to know that like a meal I can eat and drink blessing of restoration. Look at how Jesus put it Himself," Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him." (John 6:53-56 KJV).  So except you keep eating the body and drink...

POTTERS TOUCH DEVOTIONAL. SATURDAY, 21ST OCTOBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION.TO LIVE A QUALITY LIFE, STOP WORRYING PART 2.

POTTERS TOUCH DEVOTIONAL. SATURDAY, 21ST OCTOBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION.TO LIVE A QUALITY LIFE, STOP WORRYING PART 2. TODAY'S SCRIPTURE. "Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” (1 Peter 5:7 NLT, second edition) We established in yesterday's devotion that it takes more than willpower to stop worrying and that it takes four things to stop worrying. Firstly , get to know God first and secondly put God first in every area of your life.We will be looking at the other two today. 3.Live one day at a time. The Bible says, “So don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will have its own worries. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34 NCV). If you’re worrying about tomorrow, you can’t enjoy today. You will miss today’s blessings. It’s okay to plan for tomorrow, but you have to live for today. When you’re always worried about tomorrow, the future gets overwhelming. But God will give you the grace...

MONDAY, 11TH SEPTEMBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION.CRITICISM AND PROSPERITY.

MONDAY, 11TH SEPTEMBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION.CRITICISM AND PROSPERITY. TODAY'S SCRIPTURE."Start with God. The first step in learning is bowing down to God; only fools thumb their noses at such wisdom and learning” (Proverbs 1:7 MSG). Have you noticed that once you establish a goal in your life, you start hearing people say, “Who do you think you are, you think you have money?” or “It can’t be done just like that, how can one just prosper in these hard times?” or “Forget about it, they are all thieves! Etc The antidote to the voices of doubt is listening to the voice of God. Just imagine all the critics that were in Noah’s life. “That guy Noah thinks God speaks to him, but he’s just messing up the master plan of our city by building that ark in his front yard.” The Bible tells us that Noah listened to God. What did he hear? He heard God’s warning that the world was going to be destroyed. He belie...
