SUNDAY, 20TH AUGUST 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION.POSITIVE ATTITUDE IN CONFLICT PART 1.

SUNDAY, 20TH AUGUST 2017.

TODAY'S DEVOTION.POSITIVE ATTITUDE IN CONFLICT PART 1.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE.“God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self discipline” (2 Timothy 1:7 NLT).

Why does God want us have a positive attitude of living at peace with everyone? Because unresolved conflict has three devastating effects in your life.

First, it blocks your fellowship with God. When you’re in conflict with others, you cannot be in harmony with God. When you’re distracted and in conflict with other people, you cannot have a clear connection with God. The Bible says, “If someone says, ‘I love God,’ but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar” (1 John 4:20a NLT).

Secondly, unresolved conflict hinders your prayers. Over and over again the Bible says that where there is conflict sin and disharmony in your life, your prayers are blocked. “Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.”‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭3:7‬ ‭KJV‬. This is not only about marriage but also about our life style.‬

Thirdly, unsolved conflict hinders your happiness. You cannot be happy and in conflict at the same time. When conflict comes in the front door, happiness goes out via the back. Have you found out how unhappy you become when you hear some peoples names being mentioned or even when you see their pictures on social media? Conflicts or quarrels do more harm than good in life.

TODAYS QUESTION.
Do you think any conflict is worth it if it will block your fellowship with God,hinder your prayers and steal your happiness?

SUNDAY, 17TH  SEPTEMBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION.RAIN OF IDEAS FOR PROSPERITY PART 2.

SUNDAY, 17TH  SEPTEMBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION.RAIN OF IDEAS FOR PROSPERITY PART 2. TODAY'S SCRIPTURE. "Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:" (Joel 2:23, 28 KJV). The Bible records that Abraham became very rich in cattle, silver and gold. But how did he become outstanding and outshine other bussinessmen? Through the rain of divine ideas by the Holy Ghost which came in response to his giving. Abraham dug wells for his cattle instead of them going about. By divine inspiration he knew what to do to get fatter and fresher cattle and sheep. Isaac also got the secret of irrigation by the re...

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL FRIDAY 23RD MARCH,2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: GOD’S MERCY AT WORK IN YOU.

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL FRIDAY 23RD MARCH,2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: GOD’S MERCY AT WORK IN YOU. TODAY’S SCRIPTURE. “For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.”  (Philippians 2:13 NLT) No matter what you’re going to face in this life, you’re not going to face it alone. God’s mercy is with you, he is in you, and he is for you. “God’s Mercy is working in you.” The word “working” in Greek is the word energos, from which we get the word “energy.” God’s mercy is the energy driver in your life. You’re not just going on willpower. You’re not just going on your own power. Mercy of God says he will give you the power you need, no matter what you’re facing.  Not only is he in you, he is with you. The Bible says, “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. On that day you will realize that I ...

POTTERS TOUCH DEVOTIONAL. SATURDAY, 16TH DECEMBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION. WRONG PRAISES!

POTTERS TOUCH DEVOTIONAL. SATURDAY, 16TH DECEMBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION. WRONG PRAISES! TODAY'S SCRIPTURE ."The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican." (Luke 18:11 KJV). There are good ways to praise God and also wrong ways of doing it. Indeed high praises open doors before God but the man in the verse above praised God and his door was closed. Why? Because he did it in a wrong way. Never praise God in an attempt to intimidate and condemn others. Do not ever engage in praise and thanksgiving to show you are better than people around you. High praises ought to be with a deep sense of humility to God i.e it is by grace and not by your own effort. When your praises makes people get offended at God as if God is partial it is wrong. This is common with testimonies during thanksgiving, some believers make it look as if others are not serving God enough. ...
