SUNDAY, 6TH AUGUST 2017.

TODAY'S DEVOTION.CRUEL  ATTITUDE.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE.“Bless those who persecute you [who are cruel in their attitude toward you]; bless and do not curse them.” (‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:14‬ ‭AMPC‬‬)

To be cruel in your attitude means, "willfully causing pain or suffering to others and feeling no remorse about it." There are many cruel believers  in our society, who willfully cause pain to the people God brings into their lives as neighbours, friends, colleagues, bosses, subordinates, clients, customers and family.

The hallmark of a cruel attitude is that the acts of cruelty are done without any feeling of care and remorse. As a result it can be seen as wickedness. Can you imagine the attitude of buying things without the intention of paying for such items and when the creditor asks you act unconcerned, stop picking their calls and lack the courtesy of returning the call to explain.

Another example of a cruel attitude is when you borrow a car and you drain the fuel tank, bash the car or return it dirty.  Furthermore, when you get help from people and you fail to thank them in return or show appreciation you are exhibiting a cruel attitude.

Jesus'  parable of ten lepers teaches us gratitude as a positive attitude. In other to  embrace a positive attitude, you must desist from every cruel attitude and be considerate with people feelings in all ramifications. Do unto others what you want them to do to you.

Our opening scripture tells us what to do if people are cruel to us.  Bless them and do not curse them. What a beautiful and godly life that you can prove the cruel people wrong by using good to conquer evil.

TODAY'S DISCUSSION.
Identify some cruel attitudes that require, "a fresh mental, spiritual and positive attitude" in our society.

POTTERS TOUCH DEVOTIONAL. TUESDAY, 14TH NOVEMBER 2017. TODAY’S DEVOTION. OVERFLOW OF IDEAS

POTTERS TOUCH DEVOTIONAL. TUESDAY, 14TH NOVEMBER 2017. TODAY’S DEVOTION. OVERFLOW OF IDEAS TODAY'S SCRIPTURE.“The life-giving Spirit of God will hover over him, the Spirit that brings wisdom and understanding, The Spirit that gives direction and builds strength, the Spirit that instills knowledge and Fear-of-God”. (Isaiah 11:2 MSG) One of the ways through which you harvest your seeds sown for overflow is through the rain of divine ideas. In Genesis 7:11-12, we understand that when the windows of heaven first opened, what poured down from heaven was rain. What is this rain? What does it symbolise, what does it represent? It is not literal rain, neither is it destructive, it is the rain of refreshing; it is the rain of the Spirit of God. The anointing of the Holy Spirit! It is the rain that produces unimaginable results for overflow. “Be glad then, ye children of Zion and rejoice in the Lord your God: for He hath given you the former rain moderately, and he wi...

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL TUESDAY 10TH APRIL, 2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: BLOOD OF RESTORATION. PT 2.

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL TUESDAY 10TH APRIL, 2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: BLOOD OF RESTORATION. PT 2. TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: "The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?" (1 Corinthians 10:16 KJV). Every communion table is a kind of renewing the covenant of restoration. Nothing can be more exciting to know that like a meal I can eat and drink blessing of restoration. Look at how Jesus put it Himself," Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him." (John 6:53-56 KJV).  So except you keep eating the body and drink...

21ST MARCH,2018. TODAYS DEVOTION.MERCY IN CONFLICTS.

21ST MARCH,2018. TODAYS DEVOTION.MERCY IN CONFLICTS. TODAY’S SCRIPTURE."I beg you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to stop arguing among yourselves. Let there be real harmony so that there won’t be splits in the church. I plead with you to be of one mind, united in thought and purpose." (1 Corinthians 1:10 LB) Stop trying to win arguments. Instead, make it your goal to love those who disagree with you. Go for the love, not the win. Jesus tells us love will always win; he guaranteed that when he walked out of the tomb. When you find yourself in an argument with other believers, use these biblical guidelines for getting along: Let mercy guide your response (Proverbs 3:3–6). In a conflict, most of us say we only want what’s fair, but God’s approach isn’t about being fair. It’s about grace and mercy (Romans 5:8). Let God’s Mercy determine the truth (2 Corinthians 13:8). The truth is not determined by your thoughts or feelings (1 John ...
