TODAY'S DEVOTION.YOUR ATTITUDE SHOWS WHO YOU ARE

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE. “A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense” (Proverbs 19:11 NIV).

Hurt people hurt people. When someone hurts you, it’s because they’ve been hurt. Unkind people have never felt kindness. Unloving people feel unloved. When someone is rude, bitter, unkind, sarcastic, mean spirited or arrogant, they are shouting with all of their attitudes, “I am in pain! I need massive doses of love! I do not feel secure!” Because secure, loved people don’t act that way.

The person who feels deeply loved and deeply secure is generous and gracious to other people. If you want to get even with people, fine. You’re no better than they are. When you get even, you are no better than the person who has attacked you. To be better than that person, you overcome evil with good. You respond with love. You look past their words to their pain.

Here’s a myth that everybody’s been sold by modern psychology but it is flat out wrong: You have only a set amount of anger in your life. It’s like you’ve got a bucket of anger. When that bucket gets full, modern psychologists say you need to express it. You need to just pour it out.

If you believe this myth, you’re going to struggle with anger your entire life, because you don’t have a bucket of anger in your life. You have a factory! That factory can keep on producing and producing and producing. When you get rid of that, you’ll get more. In fact, the more anger you throw out, the more it produces.

Study after study has shown that aggression only creates more aggression. Angry outbursts more often lead to more anger, until it becomes a habitual pattern in your life. The answer is not just to throw your anger out. It will just refill! The answer is to let it go. God will help you do that!"A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense” (Proverbs 19:11 NIV).

TODAY'S RESPONSE
Let go of every anger you have nursed against anyone and overlook their offence.

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL TUESDAY 10TH APRIL, 2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: BLOOD OF RESTORATION. PT 2.

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL TUESDAY 10TH APRIL, 2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: BLOOD OF RESTORATION. PT 2. TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: "The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?" (1 Corinthians 10:16 KJV). Every communion table is a kind of renewing the covenant of restoration. Nothing can be more exciting to know that like a meal I can eat and drink blessing of restoration. Look at how Jesus put it Himself," Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him." (John 6:53-56 KJV).  So except you keep eating the body and drink...

POTTERS TOUCH DEVOTIONAL. SATURDAY, 21ST OCTOBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION.TO LIVE A QUALITY LIFE, STOP WORRYING PART 2. TODAY'S SCRIPTURE. "Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” (1 Peter 5:7 NLT, second edition) We established in yesterday's devotion that it takes more than willpower to stop worrying and that it takes four things to stop worrying. Firstly , get to know God first and secondly put God first in every area of your life.We will be looking at the other two today. 3.Live one day at a time. The Bible says, “So don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will have its own worries. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34 NCV). If you’re worrying about tomorrow, you can’t enjoy today. You will miss today’s blessings. It’s okay to plan for tomorrow, but you have to live for today. When you’re always worried about tomorrow, the future gets overwhelming. But God will give you the grace...

MONDAY, 11TH SEPTEMBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION.CRITICISM AND PROSPERITY.

MONDAY, 11TH SEPTEMBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION.CRITICISM AND PROSPERITY. TODAY'S SCRIPTURE."Start with God. The first step in learning is bowing down to God; only fools thumb their noses at such wisdom and learning” (Proverbs 1:7 MSG). Have you noticed that once you establish a goal in your life, you start hearing people say, “Who do you think you are, you think you have money?” or “It can’t be done just like that, how can one just prosper in these hard times?” or “Forget about it, they are all thieves! Etc The antidote to the voices of doubt is listening to the voice of God. Just imagine all the critics that were in Noah’s life. “That guy Noah thinks God speaks to him, but he’s just messing up the master plan of our city by building that ark in his front yard.” The Bible tells us that Noah listened to God. What did he hear? He heard God’s warning that the world was going to be destroyed. He belie...
