7TH FEBRUARY, 2018 TODAY’S DEVOTION.TO PUT OFF OLD AND PUT ON NEW!

7TH FEBRUARY, 2018 TODAY’S DEVOTION.TO PUT OFF OLD AND PUT ON NEW! TODAY’S SCRIPTURE. “Put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and ...put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness” (Ephesians 4:22b-24 NIV). If you want to have lasting change in your life, you have to start with your body, and that includes changing the way you think so that you honour God through the things you think and through the things you let into your mind. Notice that there’s a putting off and a putting on. Your health really comes down to stopping some stuff you need to stop doing and starting some stuff you need to start doing. Stop putting negative, hurtful things in your body, and start putting in things that edify.  Stop putting negative, hurtful things into your mind, and start watching and listening to things that edify Jesus and make you more like ...

6TH FEBRUARY, 2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION. PURITY DETERMINES ANSWERS TO YOUR PRAYER.

6TH FEBRUARY, 2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION. PURITY DETERMINES ANSWERS TO YOUR PRAYER. TODAY’S SCRIPTURE. “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. You could say it this way. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much.” James 5:16. Don’t you see! It is your prayers that move the heart of God to action, and you need to be right with God. You need to be in constant  fellowship with the Lord. Did you notice that it is not the fervency that gets the answer? The answer comes from a righteous man. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much, accomplishes much. The effectual fervent prayer of a man who is right with God makes tremendous power available. A man who is pure, a man who is clean, a man who is right with God, a man who is in constant fellowship with the Lord, who is doing the right thing and keeps on doing what is right, that man has power with God in prayer. He has the ability to influenc...

POTTERS TOUCH DEVOTIONAL. SUNDAY, 4TH FEBRUARY 2018.

POTTERS TOUCH DEVOTIONAL. SUNDAY, 4TH FEBRUARY 2018. TODAY'S DEVOTION.CREATE IN ME A PURE HEART. TODAY’S SCRIPTURE.“Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” (‭‭Psalm‬ ‭51:10‬ ‭NIV‬‬) The Greek word for “pure” in Matthew 5:8 is katharos. It means to be “clean, blameless, unstained from guilt.” Interestingly, the word can refer specifically to that which is purified by fire or by pruning. John the Baptist told people that Jesus would baptize with the Holy Spirit and fire (Matthew 3:11). Malachi speaks of the Messiah as being like a “refiner’s fire” (Malachi 3:2). Jesus refers to believers as being the branches and to Himself as the vine (John 15:1-17). For a vine to produce fruit, it must be pruned. Those who are truly “pure,” are those who have been declared innocent because of the work of Jesus and who are being san...

POTTERS TOUCH DEVOTIONAL. SATURDAY, 3RD FEBRUARY 2018.

POTTERS TOUCH DEVOTIONAL. SATURDAY, 3RD FEBRUARY 2018. TODAY'S DEVOTION.PURITY BEGINS WITH YOUR THOUGHTS. TODAY’S SCRIPTURE.“Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” (Matthew‬ ‭5:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬). Every human being is born with a “flesh”(this is the human nature that was corrupted when Adam and Eve sinned). They gave in to temptation and let sin and the curse that followed enter their lives. As a result, human thoughts turned from serving and loving God to living selfishly for themselves. You have inherited that nature synonymous with unforgiveness, discouragement and filthy thoughts. All these thoughts come straight from your flesh. They are part of the human nature. Uncomfortable as this insight is, most people will eventually accept it as a part of life. “I’m only human, after all!” Many think that as long as it remains a thought, it’s not so bad after all, I’m not hurting anyo...

POTTERSTOUCH DEVOTIONAL. FRIDAY, 2ND FEBRUARY 2018.

POTTERSTOUCH DEVOTIONAL. FRIDAY, 2ND FEBRUARY 2018. TODAY'S DEVOTION. PURE IN HEART. TODAY’S SCRIPTURE.“Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God." (‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬). You are not pure by your actions only. Purity begins with the heart. God deals with us from the heart, In I Samuel 16:7 when Samuel was  considering Eliab, David's older brother as the one he should anoint as king, God told him, "Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature, because I have refused him; for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart." God looks at your heart always. Therefore, to be pure make sure your have pure thoughts always, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.”(‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭23:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬). The heart...
