POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL SUNDAY 1ST APRIL, 2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: DIVINE EMPOWERMENT BY THE BLOOD.

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL SUNDAY 1ST APRIL, 2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: DIVINE EMPOWERMENT BY THE BLOOD. TODAY’S SCRIPTURE. For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.” ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭17:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬. Happy Easter Sunday to you and welcome to the month of April . The most significant thing about the death and resurrection of Jesus is the Blood of Jesus. He died so He could shed His Blood for you and me. He arose on the third day because His Blood has done the job of redemption. The power of the blood of Jesus has provided everything you need to live a life of victory, including Redemption, fellowship, healing, protection and authority over the devil and many more.  As Christians, we know about the blood, sing hymns about the blood, and remember it during Communion. But how many...

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL WEDNESDAY 28TH MARCH, 2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: EASTER SHOWS US GOD'S MERCY.

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL WEDNESDAY 28TH MARCH, 2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: EASTER SHOWS US GOD'S MERCY. TODAY’S SCRIPTURE "God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners” (Romans 5:8 NLT). Everything that Jesus did for you He did out of love and mercy .The Bible says that God made you to love you. The only reason you’re alive is because you were made to be loved by God. If God didn’t want you alive, your heart would stop instantly; you wouldn’t even be breathing right now. God made you and wants you alive so He can love you and so you can love Him back. God didn’t just say He loved you, He showed it. The Bible says, “God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners” (Romans 5:8 NLT). It says while we were still sinners. Before I even knew God, before I even knew I needed God in my life, Jesus died for me this is a great Mercy. There’s a...

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL. SATURDAY 24TH MARCH, 2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: YOU ARE SAVED BY MERCY TO SERVE IN MERCY!

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL. SATURDAY 24TH MARCH, 2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: YOU ARE SAVED BY MERCY TO SERVE IN MERCY! TODAY’S SCRIPTURE. Because of God's great mercy . . . Offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to his service." (Romans 12:1 TEV) You were saved by Mercy to serve God in Mercy .The Bible says, "It is he who saved us and chose us for his holy work not because we deserved it but because that was his plan." (2 Timothy 1:9 LB) God redeemed you by Mercy so you could do his "holy work." You're not saved by service, but you are saved for service. In God's kingdom, you have a place, a purpose, a role, and a function to fulfill. This gives your life great significance and value.  It cost Jesus his own life to purchase your salvation. The Bible reminds us, "God paid a great price for you. So use your body to honor God." (1 Corinthians 6:20 CEV) We don't serve God out of guilt or fear or even duty, but out of...

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL FRIDAY 23RD MARCH,2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: GOD’S MERCY AT WORK IN YOU.

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL FRIDAY 23RD MARCH,2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: GOD’S MERCY AT WORK IN YOU. TODAY’S SCRIPTURE. “For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.”  (Philippians 2:13 NLT) No matter what you’re going to face in this life, you’re not going to face it alone. God’s mercy is with you, he is in you, and he is for you. “God’s Mercy is working in you.” The word “working” in Greek is the word energos, from which we get the word “energy.” God’s mercy is the energy driver in your life. You’re not just going on willpower. You’re not just going on your own power. Mercy of God says he will give you the power you need, no matter what you’re facing.  Not only is he in you, he is with you. The Bible says, “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. On that day you will realize that I ...

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL THURSDAY 22ND MARCH, 2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: ATTEND TO PEOPLE FEELINGS IN MERCY.

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL THURSDAY 22ND MARCH, 2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: ATTEND TO PEOPLE FEELINGS IN MERCY. TODAY’S SCRIPTURE. ”The wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.” (James 3:17 NIV) Two of the biggest mistakes we make in relationships are when we react without Mercy to what people say and not how they feel — or when we invalidate someone else’s feelings because we don’t feel that way ourselves. Do you know what the antidote is for both of these? Simply being considerate in Mercy  Mistake #1: We react without trying to understand We pay too much attention to someone’s words and not enough attention to the reasons or heartbeat behind the words. People say stuff when they’re angry that they don’t even mean. They use words they don’t even intend to use. They exaggerate things. But you need to lo...

21ST MARCH,2018. TODAYS DEVOTION.MERCY IN CONFLICTS.

21ST MARCH,2018. TODAYS DEVOTION.MERCY IN CONFLICTS. TODAY’S SCRIPTURE."I beg you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to stop arguing among yourselves. Let there be real harmony so that there won’t be splits in the church. I plead with you to be of one mind, united in thought and purpose." (1 Corinthians 1:10 LB) Stop trying to win arguments. Instead, make it your goal to love those who disagree with you. Go for the love, not the win. Jesus tells us love will always win; he guaranteed that when he walked out of the tomb. When you find yourself in an argument with other believers, use these biblical guidelines for getting along: Let mercy guide your response (Proverbs 3:3–6). In a conflict, most of us say we only want what’s fair, but God’s approach isn’t about being fair. It’s about grace and mercy (Romans 5:8). Let God’s Mercy determine the truth (2 Corinthians 13:8). The truth is not determined by your thoughts or feelings (1 John ...

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL SUNDAY 18TH MARCH,2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: DEMONSTRATE MERCY

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL SUNDAY 18TH MARCH,2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: DEMONSTRATE MERCY .  TODAY’S SCRIPTURE. ”Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon. The Lord will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring” (Isaiah 58:10-11 NLT, second edition). Demonstrating mercy begins with seeing the need, sympathizing with others’ pain, and taking action. The Good Samaritan modeled all of that behavior when he reached out to care for the injured man. But there’s a another critical  step to showing mercy that he also demonstrated. You have to spend whatever it takes. There’s always a cost to kindness, mercy and a sacrifice in service. Showing mercy usually requires a sacrifice of time, energy, money, ...

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL WEDNESDAY 14TH MARCH, 2018 TODAY'S DEVOTION: EXTRA MERCY REQUIRED.

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL WEDNESDAY 14TH MARCH, 2018 TODAY'S DEVOTION: EXTRA MERCY REQUIRED. TODAY'S SCRIPTURE. "When a fool is annoyed, he quickly lets it be known. Smart people will ignore an insult” (Proverbs 12:16 GNT). We all have people in our lives that get us angry or uncomfortable. I will like to call them EMR which stands for “Extra Mercy Required”. But have you ever thought that God puts them in your life to be our heavenly sandpaper. They may irritate us, but God uses them to take off our rough edges and shape our character.  Some EMRs are minor irritations. They may do things slow to our expectations. Some of them may be more challenging. They say things that are unbelievable and tell you how they're always right. Other EMRs may be just plain mean. They never say “thank you.” They can be rude and negative, demanding, demeaning, and disapproving. You just cannot make them happy, no matter how hard you try. Whatever...

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL MONDAY 12TH MARCH,2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: BE FULL OF MERCY.

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL MONDAY 12TH MARCH,2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: BE FULL OF MERCY. TODAY’S SCRIPTURE. ”The wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere” (James 3:17 NIV). The Bible says wisdom is full of mercy and good deeds: “The wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere” (James 3:17 NIV). In other words, it’s wise to show grace to people when they mess up, when they blow it, when they sin, when they fumble, when they have faults, and when they fail.  Who is the wisest person in the universe? God. Who is the most merciful person in the universe? God. So, any time I judge, I’m being foolish. Any time I’m merciful, I’m being like God. And that’s wise! It’s wise to be merciful because...

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL SUNDAY 11TH MARCH,2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: MERCY IS UNFAILING LOVE.

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL SUNDAY 11TH MARCH,2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: MERCY IS UNFAILING LOVE. TODAY’S SCRIPTURE. "Surely your … unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life” (Psalm 23:6a NLT, second edition).  Like goodness, God’s unfailing love -Mercy -follows us in life.  King David says Mercy will pursues us! Picture a parent following a little kid around and picking up all the mess after the child. When we’re struggling with hurts, habits, and hang-ups, God comes right alongside us, helping to pick up our messes and telling us that his unfailing love is always there. This means that, rather than entering the future with a question mark, you can do it with an exclamation point! God will be with you no matter what happens. He willhelp you out: “Surely your goodness and unfailing love (mercy) will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever” (Psa...

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVTIONAL SATURDAY, 10TH MARCH 2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: RECEIVE MERCY.

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVTIONAL SATURDAY, 10TH MARCH 2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: RECEIVE MERCY.  TODAY’S SCRIPTURE. ”Let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” (Hebrews 4:16 NLT) You don’t have to be hesitant or shy about coming to God for forgiveness. The Bible says, at the throne of grace, you will find not scolding, punishment, or rejection. When we come to God with our sin, we receive his mercy, and we find his grace. What’s the difference between mercy and grace? Mercy is forgiveness for all the things you’ve done in the past. Grace is the power to change in the future. You need both. You need mercy for all the things you’ve done wrong in the past (forgiveness). And you need grace, the power to change in the future. God says that when you come to him with honesty and humility, you will receive his forgiveness. Let me tell you...

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL FRIDAY, 9TH MARCH, 2018 TODAY’S DEVOTION: MERCY CAME LONG BEFORE YOU CAME TO CHRIST.

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL FRIDAY, 9TH MARCH, 2018 TODAY’S DEVOTION: MERCY CAME LONG BEFORE YOU CAME TO CHRIST. TODAY’S SCRIPTURE. “Dear friends, God the Father chose you long ago and knew you would become His children." 1 Peter 1:2 (LB) God says your salvation is no accident. He chose you long before you chose Him. He took the initiative. The Good News translation puts it this way: "You were chosen according to the purpose of God." Why would God choose you, or me, to be a part of his family? Because he is a God of love. He is a God of Mercy . The more you understand Mercy , the more you're going to be amazed by it.  God chose you.  Did you deserve it?  Not a chance.  Do you deserve to go to Heaven?  No way!  Are you good enough to be in God's family?  No.  He just chose you.  And that's good news. On what basis did He chose you?  First Peter 1:3 says, "For it is His boundless mercy that has given us the ...
