THURSDAY, 7TH SEPTEMBER 2017.

TODAY'S DEVOTION. HEAVENLY MINDED PROSPERITY.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE."For we fix our attention, not on things that are seen, but on things that are unseen. What can be seen lasts only for a time, but what cannot be seen lasts forever” (2 Corinthians 4:18 TEV).

As you strive to reach your goal and prosper, it’s important to remember that life on earth is a temporary assignment. Knowing this truth should radically alter your values and fix your attention on the things that are eternally important.

As C. S. Lewis observed, “All that is not eternal is eternally useless.” It is a fatal mistake to assume that God’s goal for your life is multiplied material prosperity or popular success as the world defines it. The abundant life is not only about material abundance. Faithfulness to God does guarantee success in a career or even in ministry but you must not loose focus on the eternal goal which is heaven at last. You should never focus on temporary crowns alone.

Paul was faithful, yet he ended up in prison. John the Baptist was faithful, but he was beheaded. Millions of faithful people have been martyred, have lost everything, or have come to the end of life with more prosperity than material gain but heavenly abundance to show for it. The end of life here on earth is not the end but the beginning.

TODAY'S RESPONSE
When life gets tough, when you’re overwhelmed with doubt, or when you wonder if living for Christ is worth the effort, remember that you are not home yet. At death you won’t leave home but you’ll go home.

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL TUESDAY 10TH APRIL, 2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: BLOOD OF RESTORATION. PT 2.

POTTER'S TOUCH DEVOTIONAL TUESDAY 10TH APRIL, 2018. TODAY’S DEVOTION: BLOOD OF RESTORATION. PT 2. TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: "The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?" (1 Corinthians 10:16 KJV). Every communion table is a kind of renewing the covenant of restoration. Nothing can be more exciting to know that like a meal I can eat and drink blessing of restoration. Look at how Jesus put it Himself," Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him." (John 6:53-56 KJV).  So except you keep eating the body and drink...

POTTERS TOUCH DEVOTIONAL. SATURDAY, 21ST OCTOBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION.TO LIVE A QUALITY LIFE, STOP WORRYING PART 2. TODAY'S SCRIPTURE. "Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” (1 Peter 5:7 NLT, second edition) We established in yesterday's devotion that it takes more than willpower to stop worrying and that it takes four things to stop worrying. Firstly , get to know God first and secondly put God first in every area of your life.We will be looking at the other two today. 3.Live one day at a time. The Bible says, “So don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will have its own worries. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34 NCV). If you’re worrying about tomorrow, you can’t enjoy today. You will miss today’s blessings. It’s okay to plan for tomorrow, but you have to live for today. When you’re always worried about tomorrow, the future gets overwhelming. But God will give you the grace...

MONDAY, 11TH SEPTEMBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION.CRITICISM AND PROSPERITY.

MONDAY, 11TH SEPTEMBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION.CRITICISM AND PROSPERITY. TODAY'S SCRIPTURE."Start with God. The first step in learning is bowing down to God; only fools thumb their noses at such wisdom and learning” (Proverbs 1:7 MSG). Have you noticed that once you establish a goal in your life, you start hearing people say, “Who do you think you are, you think you have money?” or “It can’t be done just like that, how can one just prosper in these hard times?” or “Forget about it, they are all thieves! Etc The antidote to the voices of doubt is listening to the voice of God. Just imagine all the critics that were in Noah’s life. “That guy Noah thinks God speaks to him, but he’s just messing up the master plan of our city by building that ark in his front yard.” The Bible tells us that Noah listened to God. What did he hear? He heard God’s warning that the world was going to be destroyed. He belie...
