TODAY'S DEVOTION .QUALITY WORSHIP LIFE.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE . "A time will come, however, indeed it is already here, when the true (genuine) worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth (reality); for the Father is seeking just such people as these as His worshipers."(‭John‬ ‭4:23‬ ‭AMPC‬‬)

God tells us how to praise and worship him in His Word. Our opening scripture states that in order to worship God in truth, we need to know that Jesus said "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Before you can worship the way that God desires, you must develop a relationship with Him through faith in Jesus, His Son.

The best way we can praise and worship God is with our every thought and action. Romans 12:1-2 states, "Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is  his good, pleasing and perfect will."

Many people think that praise and worship is only about singing songs in church, but quality worship is so much more! It is also a condition of your heart , a willingness to exalt God and yield to his will. Worship is an expression of love and awe to the God who gives us more than we deserve. Whether you express your worship by singing, playing music, dancing or in some other way, remember that you are called to worship God with your every action, every day of your life. God is holy, loving and worthy of all our worship and devotion.
"Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength"(Deuteronomy 6:5)

TODAY'S PRAYER
Thank you Lord for your word.Help me to give you quality worship henceforth in Jesus Name.Amen

POTTERS TOUCH DEVOTIONAL. SATURDAY, 16TH DECEMBER 2017. TODAY'S DEVOTION. WRONG PRAISES! TODAY'S SCRIPTURE ."The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican." (Luke 18:11 KJV). There are good ways to praise God and also wrong ways of doing it. Indeed high praises open doors before God but the man in the verse above praised God and his door was closed. Why? Because he did it in a wrong way. Never praise God in an attempt to intimidate and condemn others. Do not ever engage in praise and thanksgiving to show you are better than people around you. High praises ought to be with a deep sense of humility to God i.e it is by grace and not by your own effort. When your praises makes people get offended at God as if God is partial it is wrong.
