Even sinners love those who love them.” (Luke 6:32 NIV) If you only love on and off like a light switch, you do not love others in the manner God wants you to love. Jesus said, “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you?” His point is simple: Anyone can love those who love them. Becoming an overflow lover means learning to love the unlovable. It’s when you love people who don’t love you, when you love people who irritate you, when you love people who stab you in the back or gossip about you. This may seem like an impossible task, and it is. We do our best to stretch our faith and believe that one day, if we work hard enough, get the right breaks or meet the right people, we’ll see those dreams come to pass. (Genesis 26:13.MSG) The Message Bible translation of the above scripture used the phrase "very wealthy"! "Then Isaac sowed seed in that land and received in the same year a hundred times as much as he had planted, and the Lord favored him with blessings. And the man became great and gained more and more until he became very wealthy and distinguished;" (Genesis 26:12, 13 AMP). That means greatness is synonymous with an overflow of wealth. In Genesis 7:11-12, we understand that when the windows of heaven first opened, what poured down from heaven was rain. What is this rain? What does it symbolise, what does it represent? They’ve all had good things to say, but what makes Jesus different from every other religious teacher throughout history is the fact that He died and rose again. That’s of critical importance because it’s not the life of Jesus that saves you. It’s not the teachings of Jesus that saves you. TODAY'S SCRIPTURE "The more they increased and multiplied [in prosperity and power], the more they sinned against Me; I will change their glory into shame”. (Hosea 4:7 AMP) The grace for overflowing kingdom wealth will always decrease when sin or iniquity abounds. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and proper prosperity in Christ. God cannot stand evil! The way godliness will make prosperity increase is the way sin will bring it down. In the scripture above, the multiplication of Israel in prosperity and power brought about the increase of their sins. Therefore God said “I will change their glory into shame,”that means I will stop their overflow. There is a glory that goes with prosperity and shame follows poverty. (2Corinthians 9:10 KJV) When you become a prosperous giver to God, He becomes a God of overflow to you in everything. Every time you give to God, He multiplies your seed and releases an abundant harvest of overflow to you. This is the nature of our heavenly father, He is a multiplier. He never gives you back exactly what you gave to HIm.
